Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration System - Tips From a Scammed Consumer

By K Evans

What is a reverse osmosis water filtration system?

Reverse osmosis water filtration system is a wonderful invention of a 21st century. If you ever have an opportunity to get your water tested - do that - and you will immediately be shocked by the disgusting water that comes right out of your kitchen faucet. Yes, the product of the water testing is so horrible, that you would be running to get a water filtration system for your house immediately.

I learned about reverse osmosis water filtration system the hard way - by being scammed by a company that supplies these units.  Homeowners, be aware - there are some companies out there that will offer you FREE water testing and a FREE gift for allowing them to do that. However, while you are being blown away by the shocking results of your water test, you'll be signing your name on the dotted line before you know it.

From my unfortunate experience comes a list of tips and suggestions to the prospective homeowners who are in the market for a reverse osmosis water filtration system.

  • BE WARY of the companies that offer free testing and free gifts for getting your water tested.
  • PAY ATTENTION to the price!  An average reversed osmosis water filtration system can be purchased for $300-$500 un-installed, so if you are being offered a system that's more than a $1000 installed - that's a big red flag.
  • CHECK the company's credentials - in my case, all the credentials listed actually belonged to the main supplier, not to the company that was selling the units - and that's a NO-NO.
  • LOOK at the salesperson's business card - it should have a first and last name, address, business license number.
  • ASK about your cancellation rights - do you have a 3-day right of rescission? Who would be the person to get in touch for cancellations?
  • FIND OUT who would do the maintenance on the unit? Are the filters readily accessible to homeowners?
  • TEST your water pressure - you may not have enough pressure in your house to satisfy the minimum requirements of the reverse osmosis water filtration system - find out your options BEFORE you sign the contract.

Over the course of the year I've researched numerous water filtration systems. After everything I've learned, and all the reviews that I've read, the reverse osmosis system is, by far, the most superior system on the market.

It truly produces a pure, clean water, without dangerous metals, but with good minerals that are important to our body. It doesn't have to cost thousands of dollars, like it did with us. You can either install it yourself or get your local handyman to do it.

The KEY point to remember is - be a smart and educated consumer. Don't let unethical and ruthless companies take your hard-earned money away from you. Read my story - learn from my mistakes.

DON'T WAIT - START DRINKING CLEAN WATER NOW

REMEMBER - the tap water is extremely dirty and not safe to drink or use in cooking. I strongly urge each and every one of you to install a reverse osmosis water filtration system in your house.

The system that I recommend would work for any house, with any water pressure. It will fit under your kitchen sink, is easy to install and comes with a booster pump if your water pressure is too low.
